Leads the Consumer & Customer Experience (CCE) development and development team comprised of 30 FTE's that directly interfaces with UHC Technology organization for all the technical requirements related to Advocate for Me, and all other Service Optimization initiatives. Actively collaborates and collaborates across the different LOB functional organizations (Call, Claim, Billing & Enrollments, and A&G) on designing the system requirements for each of the different work streams that the service product offerings supports. Forecasts and plans the overall project resources needed for critical milestones in the deployment process. Leads the program and project-level deliverables including project scope, risk management plan, project schedule, and overall Enterprise communication plan etc. Serves as the escalation point to Technology when issues or concerns occur
Leads the ongoing system development and ensures that the associated business cases are presented to the UHC Capital Governance Committee for review and approval. Responsible for leading the regular status meetings with project leads, stakeholders, and steering committee to ensure effective and timely communications with all stakeholders. Ensures ongoing system development enhancements are completed and delivered on time, on budget, and in scope
Works closely with Line of Business COO has to ensure process streams are coordinated, and stakeholders are updated on all key performance metrics that drive error free service delivery. Designs the scorecard reporting packages that are used to communicate system performance used to update the Executive leadership teams on a consistent basis
Acts as a critical resource for the VP of CCE on all areas related to system enhancement and new operational service capabilities. Collaborates with the UHC Operations, Product and Marketing functions to ensure that operational services delivery needs are both identified, as well as systematically incorporated into all new service and product offerings. Builds collaborative working relationships with the LOB leadership teams to their needs are meet, and serves as escalation point when problem/concerns arise
Provides progressive leadership skills with the ability to drive employee engagement and foster career growth for the Development and Deployment teams. Identifies training and development needs and works to ensure that they are part of ongoing development plans.  Develops staff to ensure internal bench strength, as well as retention of employees
Financial Responsibilities: 


Capital budget responsibilities of 50 million dollars

Requirements


Required Qualifications:   

BS/BA in business
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership with large scale change initiatives that involve significant technology/systems development and deployment, including leading a diverse functional team/organization
Proven leadership with the ability to build relationships/collaborate and influence all levels of leadership: strong conflict resolution skill sets
Highly skilled at effectively managing divergent business priorities with lean resources
Previous experience in leading a cross- functional team, as well as navigating a complex matrix environment with politically sensitive concerns
Strong communication skill sets, with the ability to present information in a variety of different formats to all levels of stakeholders
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to articulate and define outcome measures that capture key performance metrics
Proven track- record of applying innovative and creative technology solutions to improve back office delivery systems
Ability to travel as required by the needs of the business
3+ years of product development life cycle
