Oversee and provide direction for the total security, loss and shrink prevention and response programs for one of the major Giant Eagle retail store regions. This includes all aspects of store security and operational control performance, managed through oversight of LP Regional Managers and the aligned Store Security and Safety Specialists.
Requirements
- Provide overall security, loss and shrink, control performance, and criminal activity metrics to the RVP of Operations and jointly manage performance and improvements, aligned to corporate Giant Eagle expectations
- Direct activities and manage performance for the retail Regional LP Managers, aligned within the region
- Oversee aggregated loss prevention, security, investigations, and restitution for the region
- Manage emergency response activities and escalate to senior management, as appropriate
- Establish and manage law enforcement partnerships and support an aggressive program of criminal prosecution
- Oversee and / or conduct investigations to conclusion
- Attend store shrink committees and provide management direction and improvement observations
- Coordinate security system and technology needs with Giant Eagle Corporate Resources
- Assess the need and oversee deployment and performance for store level detectives, guards, or other security-related personnel
- Manage prosecution and restitution activity with law enforcement
- Oversee education and awareness programs for the region and recommend targeted, event-based programs
- Provide career counseling and career path progressions for all positions under management
