The Patient Registration Manager will direct the planning and the coordination of all patient registration functions in order to ensure effective cash flow through quality data gathering. This role will focus on upfront cash collections, finding funding solutions for uninsured patient, improved customer satisfaction, improved employee satisfaction and maximum reimbursement for hospital services rendered to patient. 
  
Primary Responsibilities: 

Facilitate communications between Patient Access department and other departments within the hospital and/or health system
Develop and implement goals & objectives for the Front End area that supports the mission and objectives of the hospital
Works with system and hospital leadership to prioritize departmental initiatives and objectives and implement, monitor and review annual goals and performance standards for each functional area of the departmental responsibility. Must be able to communicate individual and team goals to staff
Monitor, track, and evaluate staff productivity and performance and provide summary report to the Director on a monthly basis
Oversee department training and individual performance
Maintain and oversee the patient registrations, insurance verification, customer service and financial counseling

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

HS Diploma/GED
5+ years of Revenue Cycle management experience required (preferably in Patient Registration)
Solid understanding of managed care and insurance contractual arrangements
Proficient in Excel (will be developing pivot tables)
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a high pressure or changing environment, and exercise good judgment to resolve problems in the absence of formalized procedures and guidelines
Self-Starter with the ability to multitask and work independently
Excellent communication and organizational skills, verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications: 

Undergraduate degree
Management experience required – leading a team supervisors and their reports (15+ individuals)
