Seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a company located in Waco,TX. This is a direct hire opportunity not Temp and they are looking to hire immediately!! The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks needed on the facility as well as on machinery and equipment. Specific experience on industrial sewing machines and in the bedding industry strongly preferred. If you meet the following criteria please apply and contact our office at 254-776-3017 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD BRING WITH THEM THE ABILITY TO * Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Includes motors, pneumatic, hydraulics, conveyors. * Maintains lighting by installing, repairing wiring and fixtures * Perform fabrication of metal & wood components * Inspect, operate, or troubleshoot machinery/ equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. * Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. * Assemble, install, or repair wiring, * Maintain pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment. * Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. * Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. * Adjust functional parts using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges. * Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. * Maintain parts inventory * Perform duties safely and maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with established policies and procedures. * Report any safety hazards, work injuries or building and equipment concerns to appropriate personnel. * Maintain a culture that supports team work, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity. * Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Two year degree in a related field and at least two years of related work experience is preferred. The equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. * Must be able to read, comprehend and speak English to be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. * Must be able to prioritize and multi-task due to variety of duties and constantly changing activities in the area. * Must be knowledgeable in the safe use of operation of special equipment such as hand tools, power equipment, measurement tools, and electronic testing equipment.
