We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Communications Center Operator.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

Experis IT is looking for a Second Shift Communications Center Operator for a long term contract with one of our leading clients in Washington, DC. The hours would be from 1:30pm to 10:00pm Monday through Friday.

The Communications Center operates the SWIFT system for financial transactions and a fax server for official inbound and outbound fax communication. Communication Center hours are 7AM to 10PM on weekdays, weekends 9AM to 1PM, and federal Holidays 8AM to 4PM. A small team of operators are present during these hours.

Responsibilities:

Thoroughly understands and is able to perform all aspects of Communications Center operations.
Develops and modifies operator procedures as needed.
Required to perform shift work.

Required Skills:

Operational experience with financial (SWIFT) and electronic messaging (Rightfax), facsimile, (remove telex) and e-mail.
Able to operate and monitor communications equipment (SWIFT workstations, printers and fax machines) and application software.
Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access helpful.
Good organizational skills, and be attentive to detail.
Must exercise judgment in executing administrative procedures.
Read, comprehend and perform electronic and manual distributions based on established guidelines.
Must set work priorities based on acquired experience and knowledge of the assignment.
Under the direction of IMF staff, duties include reviewing and revising distributions and procedures as needed.
Individual must develop an excellent working knowledge of the functions of the Fund.
