Animal Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is currently hiring multiple Animal Caretakers for an opportunity in the Twin Cities. This position includes basic animal caretaking and laboratory research documentation skills. Animal technicians will be cross-trained in the biocompatibility and large animal labs. Applicants should have experience with both large and small animals. Must be okay with animal research.

Job Duties will include:

Basic Animal Care:

-washing out kennels and cages twice a day, and sanitizing kennel area daily

-feeding animals twice daily, refilling food and supplies in lab when necessary

-being responsible for receiving new animals and documenting placement of animals in kennels

-documenting animal behavior and physical characteristics

Laboratory Technician:

-being responsible for autoclaving surgical equipment

-doing laundry for the facility when needed

-documenting all activities in a log book (date, time and initials)
