Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers at a gaming store in New York City
- Assist customers in purchase of branded merchandise and products
- Provide customers with product information and demonstrations
- Cross-sell and up-sell merchandise; recommend products to meet customers needs
- Perform cash register and merchandise restock duties
Qualifications
- At least one year of customer service experience in a retail environment
- Experience in a video gaming or electronics environment is strongly preferred
- At least a high school diploma or GED is required
- Working knowledge of video gaming products and/or services
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and represent the company at a public level
- Ability to lift heavy objects or do continuous lifting while adhering to proper lifting techniques and ladder usage
- Ability to perform routine display repair and maintenance
- Location: Manhattan, NY
- Pay Rate: $12/hr plus optional benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.)
- Hours: Regular variation in working hours; candidates must be very flexible to work any shift; the store is open 7 days a week from 9am-10pm; schedules are confirmed a week in advance; typically 26-34 hours per week
