Primary Functions:
Our client is looking for Electrical Engineers to support the certification and licensing for mission critical systems. The successful candidates will have a solid foundation in electrical and systems engineering, ideally with specific radio frequency engineering experience. The successful candidate will perform radio frequency spectrum analysis and provide RF engineering guidance/technical inputs to Major Commands (MAJCOMs) and System Program Offices' (SPO) across all phases of the government acquisition lifecycle. The candidate will also participate in Service level initiatives to identify and improve the timeliness of systems engineering processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:
* Reviews submitted Applications for Equipment Frequency Allocation for completeness, correctness and consistency.
* Review experimental and/or operational Navy systems for RF compliance with DoD, National, and International standards.
* Proactively coordinates with field offices and agencies to provide guidance on RF engineering and the specific coordination requirements for test or deployment worldwide.
* Works closely with SPO Program Managers and Project Engineers to verify system data for validity and logical consistency.
* Liaises with Other Government Agencies (OGA) to ensure compatible operations of RF equipment.
* Work with DoD Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands and Navy Program offices to coordinate deployment of Navy systems worldwide.
* Participates in process improvement working groups to identify internal efficiencies and trends that may influence modifications to Service-level policies, procedures and/or schoolhouse training requirements.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
* 3-7+ years of electrical engineering experience.
* Interaction with senior government managers requires strong interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to quickly grasp new concepts to provide immediate contributions; strong attention to detail skills required.

Preferred:

* Professional experience with radio frequency engineering a plus.
* Familiarity with the DoD acquisition lifecycle process and current system development and fielded spectrum-dependent systems.
* Ability to think creatively and provide "out of the box" potential options that may benefit organizational efficiency.
