DISH’s Quality Assurance team ensures compliance with DISH’s desired levels of quality and service. State-of-the –art QA facilities in El Paso, TX, Spartanburg, SC, Suwanee, GA and Denver, CO use statistical sampling, and advanced quality assurance engineering tools to validate DISH hardware streams before distribution to customers.
This position manages quality personnel and processes involved in the manufacture, inspection, pack-out, service and/or testing of company products and services.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and/or training; and five plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures or government policy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and able to develop test plans to measure results. Good people manager. Strong analytical skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane/solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires review of relevant factors. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Responsible for assuring that quality equipment and tools are maintained and calibrated
- Prepares written reports and provides status for management as required and will issue and manage corrective actions (CARs) against identified problems
- May be required to visit supplier facilities both nationally and internationally.
- Participates in Material Review Board (MRB) activities
- Manages continual enhancement and improvement of Quality processes and procedures.
- Responsible for designated QA inventories
- Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager including planning, evaluating, controlling and tracking against goals, budget, and timetables
- Assists in the definition of department budget requirements including personnel, capital and expense items and directly responsible for managing approved budget

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the quality department. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
