SUMMARY

Team member will be expected to progress to Level 2 once "Qualified" as Level 1. Responsible for receiving bulk liquid products in tankers. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing receiving/processing lines and raw/mix storage tanks.

Actively participate in NCE (Nestle Continuous Excellence) including participation on special CI Teams (Continuous Improvement Teams or projects) and support and participate in NQMS (Nestle Quality Management Systems) activities and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Bulk Tanker Receiving Operation --

Receive tankers, test for solids and butterfat, verify all required documentation is available and complete, validated seals, and pump into storage tank.

Perform required Prism data transactions.

Complete all related HACCP and MCP documentation.

Check mix room schedule and communicate with the pasteurizers for ingredient requirements.

Check tanker schedule and contact vendor to make needed schedule delivery changes.

Set up all related equipment, lines, and tanks for CIP and process.

* Yogurt Room Operation --

CIP/Sanitize all yogurt lines and yogurt tanks, prep tanks and hook-up for yogurt base.

Add culture to base (inoculate), monitor fermenting process and test.

Activate and monitor the cooling process.

Add base to mix tanks.

* Mix Tanks --

CIP/Sanitize and set-up mix tanks and lines & Fruit--Fill lines.

*Team-member could be asked to help in other areas of the Mix room as needed.

Most tasks performed require documentation upon completion. Team-member is expected to complete all required documentation related to each task. Team-member is required to assist with completing all related TPM's in the mix room.

* Support NCE (Nestle Continuous Excellence) initiatives and teams by being an active participant; and roles assigned as part of an AM (Autonomous Maintenance) Team.

* Participate in programs rolled out by Nestle Dreyer's including the Sensory Program.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions. Ability to troubleshoot and take required corrective actions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Certified Forklift preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Drive truck (preferred but not required).

Good judgement and decision making ability.

Mechanical Aptitude.

Ability to prioritize.

Manage multiple tasks.

Computer experience (preferred but not required).

Self-Motivated.

Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).

Interaction with plant personnel, truck drivers, suppliers and contractors regarding work order repairs.
