Based in our Framingham, MA headquarters, this Vice President, Human Resources will report to the Senior Vice President Director, Corporate Human Resources and will support all Human Resources related activities for assigned functional areas both domestically and internationally. The VP will provide leadership, strategic counsel, advisory and consultative services to business leaders. They will promote and facilitate TJX strategic goals and act as a thought partner to leaders. They will collaborate with and leverage Centers of Expertise (COE) and HR Operations Support Center for business solutions. Responsibilities also include management of talent development, performance, culture and the maintenance of a healthy and productive work environment within functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with functional leaders and leadership teams to ensure the overall organization and culture are designed around strategic growth and performance goals.
  • Provide high level coaching and counsel to leaders.
  • Drive and ensure talent development, succession planning, and a culture of inclusion within assigned functions and within the Human Resources team.
  • Model and build leadership capability at the team and individual level.
  • Play a lead role in developing and ensuring consistent application of all HR policies, global strategies, programs, processes, and systems.
  • Guide the acquisition, staffing, development and retention of TJX associates.Collaborates in the management of compensation, and benefits programs and supports a high level of employee engagement through the maintenance of a healthy work environment.
  • Attracts, retains and develops HR talent by creating an environment that provides direction, continuous learning and development, and commitment to a common vision and shared values.
  • Provides accurate, timely developmental feedback to all team members
  • Develops successors and talent pools for key positions


Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years related Human Resources experience, which will include at least 5 years in a leadership role with at least 3 years of strategy and policy development
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field, MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated skill developing and implementing HR strategy and policies
  • Strong experience with job design, workforce planning, staffing and recruitment, performance management, talent development, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement
  • Proven track record of full life cycle project management and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Superior team building and leadership skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.Ability to communicate complex business information in a clear and compelling way
  • Strong interpersonalskills and the proven ability to build effective working relationships with internal partners in a changing environment
  • Respect for and alignment with TJX core culture and values
