Baker Hughes Incorporated has an opening for a Technical Support Engineer for our Process and Pipeline Services (PPS) Engineering group based out of Farmington, NM. ROLE SYNOPSIS

This position will be working with the PPS Engineering group, specifically developing engineering and technical documentation in support of the pipeline and process side of the business for the US Land Operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage, design and oversee the field execution of projects

Liaise with customers, other engineers and operators to ensure resources, equipment products and other requirements are progressing as required to meet job mobilization dates

Developing job specific work procedures and standards as well as operating parameters to field personnel

Supporting and providing training on operational features and application of PPS services

Actively participate as part of the field crew to operate equipment in order to meet the technical objectives of the work scope

Ensuring standard practices for services are maintained including standard document templates, procedures, forms and drawings for all facets of the work

Continue to learn and obtain product and equipment knowledge, devising new methods for equipment application

Working towards being the subject matter expert (SME) by providing technical support to process sales, operations and customers

Handles special projects, as assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline

Minimum 3 years' work experience in operations and/or process oilfield services

Strong communications both verbal and written skills including technical writing and the ability to deliver presentations

Self-motivated and take initiative attitude

Available to travel to the field as required, as well as to Baker Hughes' facilities in other regions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Working towards or have obtained Professional engineering status PE

Project engineering/management experience and certification in PMP would be an asset

Experience and/or knowledge of process services such as nitrogen purging and nitrogen helium testing would be considered an asset

Although the suitable candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to the group effort it is also a great opportunity to learn from other experts in the group and to expand your skill set in the process area of our business. This job requires extensive travel throughout the United States. Company pickup is provided.
