QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university plus at least two years of experience

 

SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance/procedure instructions.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This position works in a manufacturing production environment.

 

REPORTS TO  

Manufacturing  Manager

Reviews productivity of employees on a daily basis for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and determines workload for team members.

 

Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.

 

Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.

 

Traces history of unresolved issues to determine reasons for errors or needed corrections and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

 

Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Advises employees on daily work productivity levels and conducts weekly meeting with team members.

 

Capable of performing all job duties of direct reports at a high level of proficiency.

 

Performs all special assignments and complex level projects assigned by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly responsible for hourly staff.  Is responsible for the performance of subordinates.  Makes recommendations to superiors regarding hiring, termination decisions, training and discipline.

 

SHIFT HOURS

 

Core shift hours are Friday - Sunday 5:00AM - 6:00 PM + an admin day on Thursday for meetings and clerical work

 

Flexibility on core hours is required per business needs

 

45-50 hours average per week
