Job Description
DownEast is seeking a motivated individual to work us as a Clothing Assistant Manager. This position reports to the Clothing Manager. This is a full-time, benefited, non-exempt level position. Our ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, willing to work in a customer service oriented environment, and to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities. Must also have excellent communication skills and be extremely reliable.
Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for strong candidates to be part of a successful team at DownEast, and provide leadership and direction, overseeing and assisting in managing various business functions of the store.
Essential Functions
Drive Sales
Ensure customer satisfaction
Merchandising
Building product knowledge
Driving business to meet specific goals
Maintaining a clean, safe, secure and friendly store
Supervisory Scope
Inspiring achievement among sales team
Keeping team productive and on task
Acting as store manager when MOD
Working Conditions
Spend entire shift on feet
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Strong communication skills
Exceptional customer service abilities
Multi tasking skills
A Self-starter
Well organized

Previous retail and/or managerial experience
