Responsible for delivering quick and efficient service to guests under the supervision of the General Manager, Assistant Manager and/or Shift Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

The position of Counter Associate is accountable, in all job duties and functions, to the General Manager with responsibilities to the Assistant Manager and/or Shift Supervisor of the bakery.

Safety and Sanitation: Ensures a safe and clean environment for other team members and guests by:

  • Using correct procedures to clean the bakery, slice bagels and operate bakery equipment.
  • Preventing accidents before they happen by identifying and correcting safety hazards.

Product Quality: Maintains Bruegger's standards for safety, security, cleanliness and sanitation while ensuring that only the freshest, highest quality products are served

Guest Services and Relations: Delivers outstanding guest service that creates raving fans. Maintains Bruegger's standards of cleanliness, sanitation and safety. Demonstrates ability to increase guest satisfaction.

Training and Development: Leads by example and shares knowledge with new and existing team members. Completes Bruegger’s Counter Associate Training and Certification Program and becomes certified.

Employee Relations: Supports and assists fellow team members whenever possible.

Personnel Administration:

  • Ensures that applicable paperwork is up-to-date
  • Local Store Marketing Supports and follows all marketing programs. Suggestively sells promotional items.

Leadership: Treats guests and team members with respect and courtesy. Demonstrates and models an understanding of and a commitment to Bruegger’s mission statement.

Profitability: Uses tools and systems to minimize waste. Helps ensure that the financial budget is met in terms of preparation and service. Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
