Overview

The Registered Nurse utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with Standards of the Nursing Practice for pediactric to geriatic patients. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy.

Assesses the condition of patient and/or significant other in a timely, consistent and systematic manner. Documents objective and subjective data according to policy.

Develops an outcome oriented plan of care that reflects the patient's actual or potential health problems.

Implements the plan of care to achieve the identified outcomes for the patient according to policy and procedure.

Evaluates effectiveness of services provided.

Demonstrates effective and accurate verbal, written and electronic communication.

Maintains and increases standards of performance and education and aids in self and staff development to

insure excellence.

Comply with organizational policies and procedures.

Demonstrates professional conduct and development.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

RN I QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED

Licensure: Current Oklahoma RN License.

Certifications: BLS certified, ACLS certified

Other: Demonstrates competence by completion of Universal Skills Inventory and Unit Specific Skills Check List within first three months of employment and undated annually.

Preferred Certifications: Certifications / Qualifications as required to care for unit specific populations.

RN II QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED

Licensure: Must have current RN licensure in the State of Oklahoma.

Experience: Must have at least 2 years of Surgery or Perioperative.
