3M is seeking a Material Handler for the 3M Health Care located in Eden Prairie, MN. Are you ready to be part of what's next?
Job Summary :
The person hired for the position of Material Handler will be responsible for receiving inbound shipments, processing inventory, shipping materials, and inventory control.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Receive inbound shipments and process receiving transactions in QAD and ERC and load/unload trailers. Once materials are received, relocate to inspection or inventory locations throughout manufacturing buildings
- Process inventory transactions for the various dispositions of materials on an eNMR. The materials would also have to be physically moved from one location to another depending on the disposition
- Shipping materials from 3M Eden Prairie to other 3M facilities worldwide, direct shipments to customers, and vendor returns. Pros hip and QAD would be used to process the shipment transaction as well as USS to produce the BOL. Occasionally freight quotes and transit times will need to be provided within the company as well. Shipments are shipped through small parcel carriers, couriers, LTL, and full truckload
- Inventory control moving product from bay location to work center location. Sometimes the company truck will be used to move materials from building to building. Each physical move of product must be followed by a transaction in QAD to reflect the physical move. This job also involves Cycle Counting, FIFO Stock Rotation and turning in walking req's to Purchasing
- Stock work centers with the materials they will need for production. As the materials are physically moved from an inventory location to the work center, the transfer transaction must accurately be entered in QAD immediately after the physical movement of the materials
This position will require working:
- A fixed 2nd shift (1:00pm -- 9:30pm)
- Weekend work
- Overtime
- Holidays as needed
- Short notice shift coverage
This position may require:
- Lifting up to 32 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally assisted and/or unassisted
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
- A minimum of two (2) years of material handling and/or shipping/receiving experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification
- Computer, Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Relocation: Is not authorized
