Job Description:

SUMMARY The primary purpose of the Computer Repair Technician is to repair all computer-related components associated with store-level technology. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Repair all front-end and pharmacy computer systems and electronic equipment (e.g., office computers, registers, terminals, printers, GNC-related systems, voice response units, etc.) to meet required functionality for each component with 97 percent or higher accuracy. Coordinate with vendors for spare parts and to devise solutions for the repair of broken or discontinued/outdated equipment and components. Establish a service-oriented environment and good working relationships with all Field Technical Support team members to aid in open communications and rapid problem resolution. Maintain properly repaired equipment inventory levels (by component) to ensure sufficient functional equipment to support Project Technician and Field Technician activities. Assist with Field Technician training as it relates to hardware and software issue resolution. Maintain accurate records for all repair work completed on equipment (by asset number) and evaluate the future efficacy of the component based on repair history. Keep up to date with repair techniques and assist in the development of new repair procedures.

Minimum age of 18 years old to travel for business purposes. Ability to pass drug test. Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency. Ability to work weekends or extended days on a rare basis. Ability to work day hours. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. The following qualities are helpful:

Typing speed of 40 WPM. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations This position requires a valid driver's license for business travel.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus two (2) years' experience in computer repair.
