About this Position
This position is primarily responsible for acting on behalf of major Japanese travel insurance underwriters in providing its members traveling or residing primarily in Americas with support in procuring appropriate medical care, filing insurance claims, and receiving and making calls in accord with the terms and conditions of the Japanese insurance policy by performing the following duties:
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as liaison with medical providers to arrange medical treatment and provide insurance information.
Answers calls according to client-specific service requirements demonstrating superior customer service skills.
Logs information, on calls received/made and maintain detailed and accurate records.
Serves as liaison with client insurance companies' representatives in Japan regarding adjudication, status, and eligibility issues.
Manages patient cases according to their individual needs, and assists providers in medical case management to ensure the best care for patients.
Works with international agencies to arrange assistance and conduct investigations related to patient treatment.
Job Requirements
* 1 year related work experience preferred
* Associates degree required
* Authorized to work in the United States
* International work experience preferred
* Knowledge of Japanese language or culture is a plus
* Bilingual in Spanish or Portugese not required but is a plus
* May require some travel on an as needed basis.
