Pro-E/Creo Designer IV - Surfacing

Work under the direction of Project Engineers and/or the department Manager to prepare and develop complex parametric components, assemblies, design drawings, layouts, and specifications for engineering projects, including new, revised and modified products. Work is to be performed utilizing Creo design software for solid modeling and drawings.

Duties

1. Design components includes advanced surfacing techniques, assemblies, intricate engineering detail subassembly, and layout drawings.
   2. Assist engineers in the analysis of complex concept models and drawings and make recommendations for manufacturability and reliability. Analyze the effects of such changes on appearance, function, and cost of parts and assemblies.
   3. Advise and instruct lower level CAD designers concerning design assignments, techniques, and procedures. Develop and publish best practices to the wider CAD community.
   4. Coordinate the preparation of estimates for drafting/CAD modeling time required to complete project.
   5. Assist engineers with complex design and manufacturing constraints.
   6. Compute complex model analysis (volumes, areas, material quantities) for products using accepted software, formulas and manuals. Rely on expertise of project engineer when required.
   7. Oversee and coordinate development of prototypes. Provide appropriate electronic data to both internal and external suppliers.
   8. Record development data and results in a neat, legal, and professional manner.
   
   

Education/Experience

• Associate degree or Bachelors degree in engineering related field and a minimum of four to seven years experience using 3D modeling software.
• Must demonstrate superior CAD skills, substantial experience with surfaces, and adaptability to Kohler CAD systems.
• Experience or knowledge of CREO/Pro-E and the plumbing divisions products and production methods is highly desirable.
