Purpose and scope: Provide
specific information regarding all raw materials associate with products being
developed and produced.Key Responsibilities:Partner and work closely with design team to
provide and guide trim needs.Execute
developments; collaborate with vendors to ensure cohesive aesthetic direction.Adhere to trim and design corporate
calendars.Collaborate with trim vendors to research
time or inquire new trim collection.Set up trim meeting for design to view
collection or to address trim related product and functions with vendors.Develop trim that comply and meets companys
standard requirements and Government Global raw material compliance.Responsible to ensure trim vendor upload
compliance and care in system timely.Good knowledge in trim product development
processes, raw material and cost involve.Strong negotiation skills to establish trim
price, manage trim minimums, surcharges and lead time. Liaise with production on garment washes and
trim budget.Work closely with production on trim with long
lead time or urgent late trim add.Attend seasonal costing meeting to secure
projections for negotiation and cost saves. Attend weekly/ bi-weekly trim related status
meetings. Creative thought process to handle co-source
or counter trim sources activities.Liaise with supervisor to monitor vendors
core product and negotiate better price for future season.Review and send seasonal trim report to
respective trim vendors.Approve trim submit and color.Timely update detailed trim information into
systems.Interact with Design, Merchandising and
logistical support groups.Mentor associate.
Qualifications:College degree preferred.4+ years proficiency in development of Trim,
yarn, construction, finishing, garments, washes and costing.Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook,
Word, Excel and ability to learn new systems.Knowledge of garment construction, washes, and
trim costing.Strong analytical skills and ability to
negotiate.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to regularly re-position priorities to
accommodate frequent change.Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and
deadlines.Good problem solving and results oriented.Excellent organizational and detail oriented
skills.
