About this job

Work closely with and under the direction of Program Management including Supply Chain management:

T-45 core/non-core engineers will have the opportunity to work a wide range of activities in direct support of maintaining the T-45 aircraft. Knowledge of the US Navy customer, shipboard aircraft operations and Naval Aviation Training are required. Engineers will work closely with the US Navy's T-45 Fleet Support Team to identify and resolve technical issues. Support of T-45 depot operations will require resolution of problems encountered including availability of required repair parts. Direct support of the T-45 Supply Chain will require resolution of technical issues associated component availability including identifying and developing new sources, resolving technical issues raised by suppliers and resolving quality issues identified by suppliers. Additionally, support of the T-45 Supply Chain will require routine interface with Export/Import for component classification, development of license documents and Technical Assistance Agreements with foreign suppliers. Engineer's knowledge of aircraft production/manufacturing as well as aircraft depot operations and planning will be utilized to support the manufacture of spare wings by BAE as well planning for an extensive Service Life Extension Program for the aircraft and systems. This requires engineers to possess good verbal and written communication skills as they interface and provide technical assistance to both internal and external customers while working in an aircraft sustainment environment.

Qualifications:

* BS in Mechanical or Aerospce Engineering. Aeronautical and Electrical Engineering will be considered.

* Must have knowledge of aircraft design including structures and systems. Knowledge of US Navy aircraft requirements preferred. Knowledge of the T-45 a plus.

* Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.

* Must be able to travel as required.

Work Experience

Experience with aircraft design and production is desired.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Aeronautical and Electrical Engineering will be considered.
