Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, does general cleaning and housekeeping duties in assigned area and in accordance with schedules; maintains a high level of cleanliness at all times according to established procedures. Creates a clean and safe environment for Mercy Hospital Ada customers through the proper disposal of hospital waste. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision, and values of Mercy

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

1 Check in promptly at beginning of scheduled shift in proper

uniform. Prepare cart and equipment and go to assigned area.

Performs start of shift cleaning activities on assigned area.

Cleans rest rooms

. Clean occupied tenant/owner suite per established daily procedure.

. Clean patient rooms, offices, common areas and/or physician suites.

Clean corridors, elevators, stairwells and lobby per established daily

procedure.

Clean central (public) restrooms and suite restrooms daily.

Monthly detail cleaning may include the following not all inclusive

procedures:

Follow basic, established safety and infection control procedures.

. Participate in inservice training and staff meetings. Comply with

organizational policies and procedures.

Soiled Linen Removal

Municipal Waste Removal

Bio-hazard Waste Removal

Infection Control

Miscellaneous Job Duties.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Education:

Licensure: None Required

Experience:

Certifications: None Required, unless assigned to our Behavioral Health unit and then CAPE Training or equivalent will be required.

Other: Must have good communication skills both oral and written.

Preferred Education: HS Diploma or equivalent, but not required.

Preferred Licensure:

Preferred Experience: Housekeeping skills preferred, but not required. Must have good communication skills both oral and written.
