The Product Director – Managed Network Services is the business owner responsible for product lifecycle management of the Managed Network Services product portfolio, including defining the requirements for development of new industry leading products and services, deployment of new products and increasing the penetration of existing products and services through product awareness, regular competitive pricing and feature alignments to drive revenue growth of 20-30% on an annualized basis.

This role requires a deep understanding and experience with Ethernet Services (EPL, EVPL WAN and ELAN) Managed Router, Managed Security and Managed Network Gateway Services and will have an extensive experience working with Mid-market and Enterprise customers managed network solutions.

The Product Director – Managed Network Services will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining multi-year product roadmap and strategy for all Managed Data Services

• Work closely with the corporate strategy team to identify new opportunities and develop business cases where appropriate

• Gathering market and customer requirements for product enhancements and new products

• Partnering with the product development and marketing team to ensure timely development and launch of Managed Network Services products

• Definition and ongoing maintenance of product performance analytics

• Definition and ongoing maintenance of product pricing, packaging and sales incentives to drive product penetration in the market

• Support all sales channels with product support, specialized training, competitive assessment and at customer meetings

• Represent the company at industry forums, events and associations

• Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and evaluate their performance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads the development of product portfolio strategies for the Managed Network Services product line and tactics to meet sales and revenue targets.

• Conducts comprehensive Managed Network Services market analysis to understand competitive dynamics and trends for direct and adjacent product lines to establish competitive baselines around functionality and customer experience. Manage competitive intelligence to understand trends, growth and disruptors.

• Drives Managed Network Services product business requirements and works with the marketing team on go to market strategies.

• Builds and manages strong working relationships across the Enterprise including Product Development. Marketing, Sales, Sales Support, Operations, Customer Care, Engineering and external vendors needed to drive innovative data and enhanced services acquisition and retention approaches across targeted business segments.

• Strong financial/analytical skills required as well as development of business plans, budgeting, forecasting and product performance analytics.

• Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.

• Technical products knowledge (including technical certifications) and experience are a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to manage a product line to drive product penetration and meet growth expectations.


Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Telecommunications Industry and Product Management principles.

• Extensive knowledge of Internet, Ethernet, and networking services required by business customers, including next generation technologies. The successful candidate must have had direct experience building, managing and supporting such services to business customers, ranging from small/mid-sized companies through Fortune 50 companies.

• Strong financial/analytical skills required as well as development of business plans, budgeting, forecasting and product performance analytics.

• Strong organizational skills with ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, courteously, and professionally with all employees in a business to business environment.
Ability to multitask and perform in a fast paced and changing environment with minimal direction and supervision with strong attention to detail

Education Requirements:
10+ years of Product Management experience in the Cable or telecommunications industry
Four year college degree with concentration in Technology/Business
MBA strongly preferred
Business-to-business experience preferred

Travel Requirements:
Travel up to 15% of the time or more may be required.

Manage multiple Product Managers
