General Cashier - Full-time

General Cashiers is responsible for counting and preparing daily deposits as well as maintaining an adequate amount of cash on hand. Requirements of this position are basic knowledge of accounting operations, mathematical skills, written and verbal English language communication skills, and the ability to respond to guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.

This position requires strong organizational skills with attention to detail, the ability to compile facts and figures accurately, the ability to operate personal computers and calculator, and must have sufficient telephone etiquette skills. The candidate must have, at least, a high school education or equivalent experience. Minimum of one year hotel accounting experience is required. The essential functions for this position are to collect and prepare daily hotel deposits, provide change for hotel outlets in accordance with hotel cash handling and accounting procedures. Process and verify accuracy of all due banks; reconcile General Cashier vault daily, copy, count and report any fund discrepancies to Director of Finance and ensure a sufficient supply of cash on hand to provide change to cashiers. Handle petty cash and foreign exchange daily rate display. This individual will also perform surprise audits to all cashiers and will report any unusual practices or deviations of policy to the DOF.
