DISH Media Sales, the advertising sales division of DISH Network, provides smart, cost-effective media solutions that complement those of traditional national cable. This role will be based in Englewood, CO at our Corporate Headquarters.
A successful Encoding Technician will have the following:
- The ability to work under the pressure of daily deadlines with extreme attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills and experience with managing digital video files
- 1-4 years of television production experience of editing or encoding in a broadcast, production house, agency or CATV environment
- A Bachelors Degree in broadcast communications or related field and or related experience, or equivalent comination of education and experience
- Willingness to work second shift hours estimated to be (11:30 AM-8:00 PM)
- General knowledge of commercial insertion and traffic systems a plus
Primary responsibilities for Encoding Technician fall into the following categories:
- Encodes short form advertising content for commercial insertion on a 200 plus channel system
- Maintains tape library
- Ensures quality control of encoded content adhering to industry standards of audio & video quality
- Interfaces with sales, engineering, traffic and management
- Monitors on-air quality of commercials as well as status of live commercial insertion system
- Works under the constraints of daily deadlines
