Community Substance Abuse Centers (CSAC), a progressive substance abuse treatment organization committed to quality care has an immediate opening for a Full Time Patient Care Monitor at the New Bedford, MA location.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting all departments by supervising drug screen collection, data entry, phone coverage, and safety and security of patients and staff.

Quality of work, performance expectations and responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that; is both consistent with current standards of practice and updated to incorporate current research trends and, is consistent with the organization's mission statement, goals and objectives.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent

Effective written and verbal communication skills required with the ability to establish a positive rapport with patients and must demonstrate a non-judgmental and accepting attitude towards chemically dependent individuals.

Responsibilities:
* Management of Patient Flow:
* Ensure that each patient entering the building has an I.D.
* Monitor patients in lobby area, directing patients to the receptionist or nurses and maintain order.
* Ensure that patients are not loitering outside, in, or around the program property.
* Provide guidance to security personnel on duty.
* Keep physical environment clear of safety hazards.
* Intervene and manage patient/patient conflicts.
* Provide receptionist coverage as needed.
* As directed by supervisor, supervise urine drug screens.
* As directed by supervisor, take picture of patient for I.D.
* Respond, as needed to patient grievances and complaints.
* Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Administrative:
* Prepare and print picture IDs as needed.
* Order and stock supplies as needed.
* Attends weekly staff meetings, attend in-service training and supervision as directed by supervisor.
* Works cooperatively with all disciplines, reception, clinical and medical.
* Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
