Goldbergs Bagel Company & Deli is seeking an experienced Manager for our Avalon location. The Manager contributes to the overall success of the restaurant through leading the team and providing true hospitality to our guests.
The day-in-the-life of a Manager with Goldberg's Bagel Company & Deli is never the same, yet always rewarding. As a Manager, you will oversee the overall operations and service of the restaurant. Hiring, training, coaching and developing a successful front-of-the-house team is your daily goal and ultimately your success.
Daily duties will also include, but not be limited to:
* Ensuring guest standards are met or exceeded by hiring people who are truly passionate about hospitality.
* Scheduling the staff to satisfy the guests while being fiscally responsible business manager.
* Utilizing all forecasting tools for labor and scheduling.
* Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
* Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
* Checking stock levels and ordering supplies.
* Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
Position Requirements:
* Knowledge of food service techniques and cost controls such as manpower, productivity, food cost and other expenses.
* Production experience in similar restaurant.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, management and customers.
* Polished & professional demeanor and presence
* Strong leadership, organizational and problem solving skills.
