Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced CNC setup mill machinist to join a high-quality precision machining state-of-the-art job shop. Machinists must be able to do complete setups and running of the machine, with focus on close tolerance parts.
We are able to service our customers with highly skilled vertical and horizonal milling, turning, grinding and Wire EDM Manufacturing
Job responsibilities:
-Partner with Mill Manager and Engineering Department (this individual must work well in a team)
-Produce precision CNC machined parts by setting up, trouble-shooting programs and operating CNC Milling Centers - anywhere from 3 to 4 to 5 axis machines.
-Record keeping / documentation
-Troubleshoot processes, adjust and reprogram controls
-Monitor worn tools
-Quality Assurance Work Environment: Contract-to-Hire OR Direct Placement
110-115 employees - all on first shift
*With 100+ employees, machinists will be working directly with the Tool Crib attendants and with the Engineering departments. This isn't a high-level machining position where they will be doing everything themselves.
This company is one of the most state-of-the-art shops around. Very clean. They invest in their employees and their equipment. They upgrade their machines often for the following departments:
-Milling
-Turning
-Grinding
-Wire EDM
They have a lot of machines and they can be very large: Matsuura 5 Axis - MAM72-35V (vertical mill); Additional Kitamura and YCM machines.
*All Fanuc controlled
*Gibbscam and Solidworks
Industries they support:
Military, Aerospace, Medical, Computers (Data Storage) Qualifications: Must haves:
-5+ years of CNC mill setup experience
-5+ years program edit experience (GibbsCam preferred)
-3+ years C-Axis experience
-3+ years G&M Code experience
-1+ year experience with the following:
*Live tooling
*Live Turrets
-5-Axis machines or larger
*Quality inspection equipment: Pressure Mics, Calipers
*Fanuc controls
-Must have their own set of CNC machining tools
