Senior Procurement - Full-time / Part-time

Our scientific research company in Waltham, MA is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist with 2-5 years of prior experience to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process purchase requisitions, issue Purchase Orders in SAP.
• Manage supplier relationships and source, qualify and rationalize new and existing products and supplier in accordance with established SAP's.
• Forecast delivery scheduled for critical inventory items.
• Manage changes for the kitted components through the internal Quality Systems and internal review board.
• Manage the Multi-Vendor inventory in SAP, updating price and lead times on info records as needed.
• Drive Multi-Vendor cost reductions thru cost analysis, competitive bids, sourcing and implementation.
• Maintain vendor relationships through the tracking of vendor performance metrics and bi-annual reviews with critical vendors.
• Track departmental metrics in Excel
• Manage SOP's and related documents in the Quality System.

Qualifications:

• HS degree or above is required.
• AS or BS degree is preferred
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of procurement experience to be considered. 5+ years is highly preferred
• Must have some type of ERP or Supply chain database experience. SAP or Oracle preferred!
• Experience in the Biotechnology/Pharma Industry preferred, but open to any medical, manufacturing, healthcare, or government procurement experience.
• Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel
