About this job

The Line Cook's role is to create the energy and vibe that makes The Counter® unique. 

This includes a strong passion and motivation to create great food and a hospitality driven attitude. Must be fun, professional, friendly, dynamic, and able to multitask and take initiative in a guest service focused environment.

Job Duties:

Previous experience as a line cook required  

Maintains a "sense of urgency" attitude for the completion of responsibilities/tasks

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

Ability to multi-task and prioritize; easily adapts to change

Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond

Competent in all stations of the kitchen and able to read and follow recipes correctly 

Ability to work safely and efficiently with large volume culinary equipment including but not limited to grill, fryers, and convention ovens.

Assists in ensuring that every dish leaving the kitchen is prepared consistently and meets quality standards  

Ensures sanitation standards set forth by The Counter, local, state, and federal governments are being followed.

Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen

Ensures operational efficiency, safety, and profitability of all kitchen operations

Adhere to all health inspection and safety requirements to ensure 100% compliance

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications:

2 years of equivalent experience working in a high volume restaurant kitchen.

Team player with strong work ethic and positive attitude

Knowledge of health, sanitation and proper kitchen safety procedures

Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

ServSafe certified

General culinary knowledge of basic kitchen practices, protocols and procedures.

Experience working with seasonal menus

Understanding of typical culinary units of measure.

Exceptional communication skills
