Paginator - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is currently hiring a Paginator

We are looking to bring on a Page Designer / Paginator on a full-time direct placement opportunity here in the North Austin, TX area. The company is part of a long-term effort to offer a range of content services to its publications and to market those services to other media entities. The plan incorporates both print and digital components, in addition to new platforms in development.

This Paginator will be responsible for using InDesign software and a centralized front-end system to layout and design newspaper pages from beginning to end. They will execute creative solutions and presentations, along with providing a final read on all copy submitted publications.

The company is building a team of quality visual journalists and designers who can design eye-catching and compelling pages along with editing stories and sharpening headlines.

Design clips or links to online portfolios are required from all applicants.

The ideal candidate should have experience with:

• Proven line-editing
• Versed in Associate Press (AP Style)
• 1 to 4 years of layout software experience (preferably Adobe InDesign)
• 1 to 4 years of experience with digital publishing
• Must be comfortable with working on a MAC
• Experience in Magazine OR Newspaper Layout design.

CURRENT SHIFT IS- 4pm-12am 5pm-1am and 6pm-2am. Candidates need to be flexible to work 7 days a week.
