Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary: Analyzes and reports financial data in order to assist management with key decisions. Supports multiple departments in all financial respects. Plays a key role in the annual plan process, monitors variances to plan throughout the year, and drives profitability.

In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing financial models and diagnostic tools to identify trends, analyze results, and optimize profit – both at the restaurant and corporate level
• Coordinating with all levels of management and various departments to assess needs for financial information, and develops reports, analyses, and tools to meet those needs
• Assisting FP&A team and other departments in preparing annual budgets and strategic plans
• Monitoring variances to plan throughout the year and presenting findings to appropriate parties
• Presenting project results, recommendations, and solutions to senior management
• Training various departments and levels of management on financial matters and policies
• Utilizing company-created and other databases to extract, analyze, and report on restaurant profitability and G&A information

Qualifications: Education/Training
• B.A./B.S. in Finance, Business, or related field; or an equivalent in education and experience

Knowledge/Skills
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of and the ability to proficiently use a PC along with MS Office Suite software
• Exceptional Excel skills
• Ability to extract and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and make actionable recommendations
• Ability to perform profitability and variance analyses
• Working knowledge of planning, forecasting, and budgeting
• Skill at presenting financial data to all levels of management
• Ability to effectively manage priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage financial data in a confidential and professional manner
