Join us and help people live healthier lives while doing your life's best work.(sm)The Wellness Recovery Care Advocate (WRCA) is a direct clinical liaison between UBH, the health plan customers, and the clinical network. This position integrates a collaborative process which plans, implements, coordinates, monitors and evaluates the options and services to meet the enrollee's health needs, using education, communication and all available resources to promote quality, cost-effective outcomes. In addition, a function of the WRCA is to improve the enrollee's ability to remain stable in the community thereby decreasing their reliance on higher levels of care. The WRCA works with enrollees to engage them in the treatment planning process and then assists her / him with accessing the appropriate community services so they can pursue their treatment goals in the community and avoid institutionalization.
 
The Wellness Recovery Care Advocate will work within a medical / behavioral integrated team to assist with assessment and triage as well as outpatient and concurrent review while managing a broad range of diagnostic patient cases.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Focus on outpatient services for psychiatric and chemical dependency patients
Making patient assessments and determining appropriate levels of care
Obtaining information from providers on outpatient requests for treatment
Determining if additional clinical treatment sessions are needed
Managing inpatient and outpatient mental health cases throughout the entire treatment plan
Administering benefits and reviewing treatment plans
Coordinating benefits and transitions between various areas of care
Identifying ways to add value to treatment plans and consulting with facility staff or outpatient care providers on those ideas 

Requirements


Required Qualifications:

Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage & Family Counseling OR a Licensed Ph.D. (Psychologist)
License must be independent, active and unrestricted in the state of Texas
2+ years of post-Masters experience in a related mental health environment
MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
Preferred Qualifications:

Managed Care background
Must be able to work in a team focused work environment
Inpatient or facility-based experience. Strong understanding of and experience with treatment planning
Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse
Community Mental Health experience with the seriously mentally ill
Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients
