Responsible for practice of pharmacy operations by managing pharmacist staff, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, overseeing the quality improvement committee process on monthly basis, and ensuring inventory management is accurate from a quality, cost, safety and attention detail perspective.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads and directs the daily operations of the pharmacist staff and fulfillment staff
Collaborates with management team to ensure smooth performance of overall pharmacy operations on a daily basis to include appropriate scheduling of pharmacists
Assures company goals are achieved for quality, compliance, service, and financial performance
Ensures SOP development and execution as part of core operations in pharmacy practice
Oversees ongoing training for staff pharmacists
Assures continuous regulatory compliance for pharmacy practice
Obtains and maintains active pharmacist license in state where job functions are performed and other states as required
Leads and supervises employees
Leads special projects as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

All duties of a clinical pharmacist, clinically and operationally
Strong leadership skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong teamwork skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to professionally and effectively convey ideas
Prioritization of daily tasks for team members and long term goals for managers
Ability to understand and act on business principals of inventor management
Proficient in shipping vendor systems, prescription processing system, and supplier system
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
BS or PharmD in Pharmacy
Pharmacist must be registered or licensed as per Board of Pharmacy requirements in the State where job functions are performed - registration or licensure must be in good standing
Other state Pharmacist Licensure if necessary

Previous Management and Pharmacist-In-Charge positions
