Role Description

Pfizer Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) delivers data-driven insights that enable our clients to make improved decisions. With more than 300 colleagues in over 40 markets globally, the BAI team provides rigorous analytics services to Pfizer leaders, marketing clients and partners throughout the world.

Our dynamic and expanding team is comprised of subject-matter experts from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including market research, data analytics, and consulting. If you want to become part of this unique talent base, build your capabilities, advance your career and be at the forefront of evolving insights and analytics, we are currently looking for a candidate to join our BAI Global Established Products (GEP), World Wide Commercial Operations (WWCO) team.

The Director Team Leader, BAI GEP Biosimilars will be the key business partner with the global and US lead of Biosimilars. This role will work, as part of an integrated commercial team, to help develop and support effective go-to market strategies in a new and innovative arena. He / She will also play a prominent role on the Global GEP BAI Leadership team. The leader will be responsible for leading the team, setting objectives and strategies and ensuring the team is proactively delivering rigorous analytics-based market insights and business intelligence to inform optimal strategic asset and portfolio decision making, to drive development of implementation plans and measure performance upon asset launch.

Responsibilities

Role Definition and Key Accountabilities

* Key integrated business partner with US and Global Biosimilars teams in goal-setting, strategy development, and performance measurement.

* Lead the team to provide creative approaches to supporting this new business segment for Pfizer.

* Lead rigorous, analytics-based decision support to the US and Global Biosimilars commercial teams, leading primary market research, data analytics, forecasting and insight generation.

* Lead analyses to drive US and Global market development and go-to-market strategies for first wave of Biosimilars across oncology, supportive care, and inflammation assets.

* Monitor and evaluate competitive Biosimilar pipelines.

* In partnership with US and Global commercial and other cross-functional partners, outline appropriate market preparation and commercialization strategies and tactics.

* Identify opportunities to develop, refine and enhance asset forecasts, including both top-down as well as bottoms-up models, to ensure clarity of anticipated market dynamics across all assets.

* Take a leadership/oversight role in the Global Biosimilars Community of Practice.

* Work effectively with US and Global commercial client teams, cross-functional partners (e.g., Medical, Pfizer Global Supply, PCA, Finance), and BAI Centers of Excellence to deliver the highest level of service to the business. Lead cross-functional teams, as needed.

* Proactively seek out and evaluate new data sources, tools, and analytic partners that drive US and Global Biosimilars objectives, including data purchases designed to reduce overall analytics spending.

* Encourage opportunities for shared learning across the Biosimilars portfolio as well as across the GEP BAI global community.

Functional and Technical Competencies

* A critical thought leader, proactively identifying the need for specific analyses and programs, and marshaling the resources to evaluate and resolve the most challenging, strategic client issues

* Ability to provide structure to ambiguous situations, proactively collaborating with senior members of the commercial team to help prioritize most critical needs

* Highly autonomous, and a recognized expert in primary market research and strong secondary data analytics both within and outside of his / her own client team, skilled at influencing others

* Proven ability to work independently on qualitative and quantitative analyses

* Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

* Ability to leverage clear and effective frameworks while creating product forecasts

* Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment as well as in partnership with markets, Global teams, other Business Units, and external partners

* Ability to quickly establish relationships of trust and credibility with internal client-partners and to be the seen as a partner to the business with a deep expertise in analytics

* Ability to manage simultaneously multiple projects involving a variety of analytic techniques

* Proven ability to lead and execute projects dealing with complex secondary data analytic techniques

* Proven ability to work effectively in matrix organizations to deliver impactful results to clients

Qualifications

* Master's level education preferred

* 11+ years professional experience in Management Science/ Forecasting function, country strategy and/or strategic consulting

* 5+ years previous leadership experience in analytical capacity required

* Expertise with IMS data and secondary data analyses required
