Part-Time. Located in Mililani Technology Park.

PURPOSE STATEMENT: The purpose of this position is to present and promote cutting-edge communications and entertainment services to new and existing customers in outbound telephone calls while providing excellent customer service.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP : This position generally reports to the Telemarketing Supervisor and the Direct Sales Manager.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conducts outbound telephone calls to current, recent, and potential customers in an attempt to upgrade level of cable services, to confirm installation appointments, and/or to monitor customer satisfaction.Uses telephone and computer system.

Utilizes clear and concise verbal communication skills.

Sells complete packages, upgrades services, saves customers from downgrading or disconnecting.Communicates verbally in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.

Working knowledge of cable products, programming choices and prices.

Handles customer requests for pay-per-view events, installs, upgrades, downgrades, transfers, and/or disconnects.Knowledge of customer, policies and procedures, and marketing philosophy.

Uses computer and computer system.

Provides excellent customer service by utilizing a working knowledge of all services the system offers.Utilizes working knowledge of cable product, programming choices and prices.

Verbally communicates services to customers.

Regular attendance is required.

OTHER DUTIES

:

May assist customer service representatives and technical staff with authorizations.

On occasion, may also work as a Retail Sales Associate.

Performs other duties as assigned.

HUMAN RELATIONS:

Has extensive contact with customers, office personnel, and the general public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in customer service, public relations, and sales are preferred. Must have good persuasive verbal communication skills. Able to sell and handle customer service requests through effective communications. PC and internet experience highly desired. Must have excellent attendance record. Stable employment history.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGES AND ABILITIES

: Skills include: typing 40 words per minute, use of telephone system, computer. Working knowledge of cable product, programming choices and prices, basic mathematics, familiarity and use of computers and basic office policies and procedures.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED

: Computer, telephone.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

: Sitting for long periods of time. Communicating on telephone, and typing and reading on computer.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00pm - 9:00pm; Friday 5:00pm - 8:00pm. Additional coverage as needed.
