Machine Operator Packaging Employee
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
LOCATION: BEF foods, inc.
Summary: Inspects and packages finished product for distribution to the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Inspects finished packaging for proper alignment and code date.
Placing the finished product into corrugated box in the proper quantity after they have been inspected for alignment and code information.
Place finished cases on a pallet in the proper pattern after code information is confirmed.
Ensure correct quantity is achieved on the pallet
Moves completed pallet to the Finished Product Cooler.
Product quality-verify expiration dates and proper materials; insure product is free of contamination
Operate in a fast pace environment.
KNOWLEDGE:
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
