POSITION SUMMARY

As an Administrative Assistant, you will oversee the daily operations and customer service of the YourChoice Fitness Center. You will be responsible for ensuring a quality customer experience and for managing membership and Fitness Program Registration, as well as for maintaining a positive relationship with the Fitness Center members. On a daily basis, you will work closely with the Manatee Your Choice Wellness Specialist, Fitness & Health Promotion Interns and provide support as needed. Please note that the primary worksite/office is located in the YourChoice Fitness Center in Bradenton, FL, and that the schedule is primarily Monday through Friday daytime business hours. However, flexibility is required with daily shifts due to varying program offerings.

Fundamental Components of the Administrative Assistant position include, but are not limited to:

Understanding and adherence to an integrated model of health, fitness & well-being. Full understanding of the Shape.net Membership Program and online registration systems. Maximize member communications and updates Provide Fitness Center tours, orientations and referrals Direct liaison with the Property Management Dept regarding maintenance and/or building issues Assists with county-wide Wellness promotional events. Maintain relationships with community health clubs and corporate partnerships Updating procedure manuals and facility checklists Ability to work with a diverse group of people. Should be able to work in a team environment and be supportive of and willing to promote the mission of the Manatee Your Choice Health Plan. Develop, model and integrate systems and practices that encourage and sustain outstanding member satisfaction and high member retention. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Minimum of 1 years experience working in a customer service environment Exceptional customer service & communication skills CPR, First Aid and AED Certification Highly organized Ability to work independently and within a team. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Publisher EDUCATION

The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.
