Sodexo is seeking a strong, dynamic Environmental Services/Custodial Manager for healthcare in Detroit, Michigan. Detroit Receiving Hospital (DRH), Michigan's first Level I Trauma Center, is a constant and innovative force in the evolution of emergency medicine. DRH is one of the busiest and most well-equipped emergency departments anywhere and provides training to nearly half of practicing emergency medicine physicians in the state of Michigan. DRH has the oldest and largest verified burn center in the state and is one of only 63 in the country. This is an evening shift opportunity and will need to be flexible to work some weekends and other shifts as the business dictates. Rotating weekends and holidays are part of the schedule.
The successful candidate will utilize Trakkar and bedtracking systems and will supervise around 20-25 staff. Prior supervisory experience in healthcare setting or equivalent such has hospitality, hotels housekeeping, or commercial custodial management support is ideal. We are in search of a self-motivated leader with the desire to deliver outstanding results for the organization. The ability to motivate and inspire staff to exceed expectations is a desired characteristic for this manager. Must be able to drive HCAHPS results to a high level and understand ENGAGE patient satisfaction process. Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.
