NBC 6 and Telemundo 51 offer internships to qualified undergraduate and graduate candidates interested in the TV broadcasting industry. Interns gain hands-on experience while working on challenging projects, networking with professionals and learning from some of the brightest minds in the business.

The duties and responsibilities of an intern vary by department:

Assignment Desk: NBC 6 and Telemundo 51

Creative Services: NBC 6 and Telemundo 51

Digital Media: NBC 6

Editing: NBC 6 and Telemundo 51

News Photojournalist: NBC 6 and Telemundo 51

Producing: NBC 6 and Telemundo 51

Sales: NBC 6 and Telemundo 51

Sports: NBC 6 and Telemundo 51

Technical Operations: NBC 6 and Telemundo 51

Successful interns will demonstrate a passion for learning and the ability to step out of their comfort zone. We are looking for students who are highly motivated and who can function as a team member or independently in a fast paced news environment.

Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit. Qualifications/Requirements NBCUniversal interns must meet the following criteria:

In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution. Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a Visa or sponsorship

At least (1) letter of recommendation from a teacher and/or advisor

Letter of intent (500-100 words) (Including a list of at least 3 departments you would like to intern in)

Bilingual - English/Spanish if applying for Telemundo
