Garland Behavioral Hospital (GBH) is an adult and Geriatric psychiatric hospital located inside of Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Garland. We are looking for staff to join our exciting new team at a new location.

Primary Responsibilities

Experience working with direct care situations in a hospital setting. Attention to detail and patient interaction. Ability to stand, walk and provide daily care for patients. Some lifting. Record keeping and time management skills. Must ensure patient safety by providing continuous care and delivery of care through observation and rounds. Assists psychiatric patients with personal needs and facilitates group learning.

Position Requirements

High School Graduate or Equivalent

CPR Certification

Effective oral and written communication skills

Must possess an ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic status

Preference will be given to candidates possessing at least one year of experience with the mental health population
