Merrill Lynch Wealth Management provides a high-touch client experience through a network of over 14,000 financial advisors to clients with a personal wealth profile of at least $250,000 of investable assets. We help clients pursue their personal and financial goals, uncover concerns and priorities, and develop portfolios that align resources to their needs.

Financial Advisor Intern Role:

The 10 week Financial Advisor Internship Program is structured to provide a foundation in understanding the Financial Services industry, the Merrill Lynch business, and our Financial Advisor career track. Our Interns will be given the opportunity to learn about our advisory business by gaining exposure to key aspects of the wealth management division including various investment vehicles, relationship building and client support.

The intern's responsibilities may include:

Conducting product, market, and client research

Developing business acumen and understanding of the markets

Reporting and analysis

Updating and maintaining databases

Assisting in business development

Training:

The Program's learning curriculum includes on the job training as well as business and professional development training delivered virtually. Training is designed to help interns build their business acumen, effectively work in the advisory business, and assist as they launch careers in financial services upon graduation.

Training includes:

Orientation which includes company onboarding as well as specific program and business overviews

Industry Training and Executive Speaker Series

National Curriculum that provides web-based learning/technical training and professional development opportunities

Enterprise Job Description: Program designed to introduce associates with little to no work experience to business banking policies and practices. Length of employment is pre-established for a set period of time, usually seasonal. Work assignments are well defined with a high degree of supervision and direction provided.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Pursuing a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university

Graduation date between December 2016 -- June 2018 (rising Juniors and Seniors)

Legal authorization to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

GPA 3.3 on a 4.0 scale

A history of High Achievement

An entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to succeed

Confident and an engaging presence

Concise, inspiring communication skills

A client-focus mentality

Strong interest in becoming a Financial Advisor
