The Business Entity Cisco's Finance organization is an important partner to the business with the charter to keep Cisco compliant while maximizing shareholder value. The Team The Corporate Finance organization is a dynamic team with oversight over several interesting areas: * Corporate FP&A -- Plays a key roles in short-term and long-term financial planning at the company level with significant interaction with the senior finance leadership team as well as providing financial analysis and reporting packages for the Board of Directors and Investor Relations * Corporate Development Finance -- Partners with Corporate Development, Finance leadership and deal sponsor on an analysis to ensure disciplined decision making for acquisitions, private investments and divestures * Finance Transformation Office -- Partners with the broader finance organization and IT to consistently optimize and enhance our core financial capabilities and to transform how Finance delivers, analyzes and forecasts financial results for the company * Center of Excellence -- Provides best in class reporting and analysis that is scalable on behalf of the entire finance organization Role & Responsibilities In this role, you will provide support for calendaring, travel, expenses, along with management and oversight of special projects, as needed. To perform these tasks effectively, you will be expected to become familiar with the products, people, and organizational dynamics within Cisco's Finance organization and the broader Cisco organization. You will be expected to understand how to handle, with a great degree of independence, incoming asks for time, meetings, resources and other needs from the VP and members of his team. You will be responsible for determining when to refer matters to others, and to whom they should be referred. You will be responsible for following up to ensure proper disposition, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. You will become a core member of the VP's team, attending regular staff meetings and all team meetings. You will work closely with the executive assistants across Cisco. Work is generally of a critical and confidential nature. Calendar Management: Manages the calendar of the VP and designated members of his staff by prioritizing schedules and meetings. Correspondence/Approvals: Supports by acting as proxy for communications and approvals as authorized. Answers general questions as necessary and refers (filters) routine matters to appropriate parties and follows up to ensure proper disposition. Champion Improvements: Provide guidance to other employees regarding new methods, assignments or procedures. Suggest relevant process improvements. Special Projects: Completes special projects accurately and in a timely manner as directed. Provides analytical support to assist on special projects. Researches issues, analyzes problems, compiles data, and prepares reports and presentations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and clients. Demonstrated high level of tact and professionalism. Collaborative style with demonstrated creativity and team focus in a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing environment. Works in an organized and disciplined manner. Detail oriented. Demonstrated resourcefulness in solving problems, making decisions and seeking cross-functional support to achieve success. Strong ability to multi-tasks and prioritize appropriately to complete project work. Knowledge of core desktop computer applications: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Minimum Qualifications Ability to navigate web and email at high competency level. Ability to coordinate variety of meetings including WebEx, TP, recurring meetings, etc. dealing with extremely difficult/challenging calendars availability as well as globally. Participates in team meetings, meets with other Admins to share information and network. Back-up support in absence of other EA's. Requires little instruction on routine tasks, new projects - works well independently. Communicates effectively with a diverse population, including high level managers and clients Proven work history reflecting support of senior management, ability to make sound decisions, ability to take action, direct action and motivate others to do the same Desired Skills Advanced knowledge of desktop computer applications: Excel.
