Abrazo West Campus (located at 136th Avenue and McDowell Road in Goodyear) is a 188-bed acute care hospital serving the healthcare needs of the residents of the southwest Valley since September 2003. They are also accredited by The Joint Commission and are a Joint Commission-designated Primary Stroke Center and accredited Chest Pain Center. As a state designated Level 1 Trauma Center, Abrazo West Campus serves the critically injured patients in the Western Region of Arizona. Abrazo West Campus continues to enhance service lines which already include comprehensive orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, hand, cardiovascular with open-heart surgery, obstetrics, women's health, wound care with hyperbaric treatment and therapy as well as 24-hour emergency plus trauma care.

Prepares solutions, labels tubes and specimen containers, collects specimens and performs simple tests under supervision. Performs routine technical and clerical functions. May operate simple lab equipment under supervision. Processes anatomic pathology and cytology specimens. Obtains blood specimens for all age groups serviced. Asisits pathologists as needed. Uses, maintains and cleans laboratory equipment and uses protective equipment to protect form exposure to chemical, radiation and infectious hazards. Must be knowledgeable of emergency procedures. Performs phlebotomist duties as assigned.

Special Skills: Computer skills and ability to work under deadlines. Requires a high degree of accuracy in various responsibilities and frequent contact with customers.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Master ability to complete blood draws independently within six-weeks of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a phlebotomy program. Six months lab experience. CPR
