Job Duties:
Provide quality customer service to our customers through the Specialty Merchandise section, which includes Specialty Foods, General Merchandise, Health and Beauty Care (HBC) and J-Hook program. Proper performance of the duties and responsibilities of this position will contribute to and ensure achievement of proper Specialty Merchandise conditions. Responsible for maintaining standards according to the Grocery Standard Practice Manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of Standard Practice. Courteous and helpful to customers. Engage and interact with customers to create a positive shopping experience. Ensure proper ordering of Specialty Merchandise, General Merchandise, Specialty Foods and the J-Hook program. Clean shelves on a regular basis. Monitors expiration dates per Standard Practice. Remove any damaged, soiled, crushed, out-of-date, or product not fit for sale from shelves. Ensure only saleable merchandise is on shelves. Conditions Specialty Merchandise and HBC sections and works closeouts and deleted items daily. Find more efficient ways to do the job and seeks to reduce costs and improve labor productivity. Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices. Requirements
Job Requirements:
Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 70 pounds as needed to stock product.
Ability to push up to 2000 pounds using a pallet jack.
Ability to manipulate small objects.
Ability to anticipate sales to order product for the Specialty Merchandise section and complete necessary paperwork.
Ability to rotate and organize product as needed.
Ability to recognize and maintain proper shelf allocations.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Ability to meet production standards established by Food Lion.
Ability to complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Aid courses.
