The Technical Support Analyst I is responsible and accountable for delivering support for all aspects of the company's restaurant locations, including first line support via incoming requests by phone, email or voice mail.

The awesome addition to our Restaurant Support Center team will have the following job duties:
  • Provide technical support of moderate to highly complex issues via phone or email in a courteous, professional manner
  • Log all support work performed in ticket tracking system
  • Troubleshoots phone, connectivity and DVR issues at new and existing customer sites
  • Supports the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software products in new and existing customer sites
  • Identifies hardware, software, and operator problems, resolving as many problems as possible on the first customer contact. Escalates problems when appropriate. Identifies root cause of problems and proposes solutions to solve re-occurring problems
  • Informs supervisor of on-going problems or problems that are existing beyond service level agreements
  • Develops and supports internal and external knowledge base (including but not limited to POS and Back Office systems, Corporate Systems, Digital Menus, Internet Connectivity, Windows OS, Internet Explorer etc)
  • Defines and implements new processes and procedures to enhance quality service.
  • Creates and maintains user documentation and instructions e.g. training material, User TIPS and project roll out materials
  • Performs additional functions above and beyond stated duties to deliver exceptional user support


Additional Requirements

Education: College degree or in-process AA/BA degree (related to computer science) or equivalent experience. CompTIA A+ certification or comparable MCP certification preferred.

Experience: Two years related experience in help desk with an emphasis on technical support, specifically including Windows desktop support or restaurant applications support. Restaurant and point-of-sale experience desired but not required.

Knowledge: Must be proficient with Microsoft application software (i.e., Word, Excel, Microsoft Office Outlook, etc.) and Windows Operating Systems. Restaurant Point of Sale/Back office applications knowledge highly desirable. Knowledge of fundamentals of network trouble shooting highly desirable.

Language Skills: Excellent communication skills, particularly communicating via the phone and email. Experience making presentations to a diverse audience is desirable. Ability to speak Spanish a plus!

Other Skills: A passion for outstanding customer service is required. Must also be organized with the ability to multi-task. Must possess excellent follow up on issues to ensure stability and high degree of customer satisfaction.

Reasoning Abilities: Excellent problem-solving ability required.

Other Abilities: Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with users who may not be tech savvy. Must be able to provide off-hours support as required on call during nights and weekends.
