Maintenance Technician - Handyman

We are Jax Home Maintenance, part of a growing Collins Realty Services, based in the Fleming Island/Orange Park area looking to expand our maintenance department. REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

Candidate must have own handyman tools and bring basic tools to interview to show to the interviewer.

*Experience in general home maintenance is a must. 

*Experience with tenant turns, including carpet cleaning and doing full move in and move-out cleaning is a plus.

*MUST HAVE OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION 

*Provide 3 verifiable references 

*Be available for a formal interview and a working interview, including a brief pre-employment Handyman knowledge test. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Must have skills and experience in below items)

*Repair, Replace, and/or rebuild screens.

*Repair windows (Sash and rollers).

*Repair and replace ceiling fans.

*Paint (Full paint or touch up).

* assist staff plumber as needed.

* You must be able to use a large paint sprayer and small paint touch up sprayer.

*Patch holes (Minor drywall).

*Repair and replace Ballasts.

*Repair and replace Door Jamb as well as door planing, hanging.

*Minor tile work.

*Drywall repair.

*spackle, mudding, apply knockdown, popcorn ceilings

*Operate a paint hopper

*Install appliances.

*Repair and replace bi-fold doors (Rollers).

*Minor fence work (Replace slates and posts).

*Gate repair( Hinges, slats, etc).

*Door knob replacement.

*Deadbolt replacement.

*Repair and replace Locks, smoke/fire alarms.

* Must be willing and able to clean homes, do housekeeping as part of tenant turn service.

**Carpet cleaning experience is a plus but not mandatory**
