The Horsham Clinic is a 206 bed private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus. The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and activities of daily living. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients. Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training. We currently have per diem openings. Shifts available hours are:
7:30am-4:00pm, 3:30pm-12:00 midnight, and 11:30pm-8:00am
Monday through Sunday/Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends
Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field highly preferred or high school diploma with 3 years relevant experience in the psychiatric field.
Must have experience working with all populations such as: Children's, Adolescent, Dual Diagnosis, and Adults with chronic and persistent mental illness
Preferred strong customer service and organizational skills, accurate, thorough and timely follow-up with attention to detail.
Mental Health Technician must also be comfortable using a computer, and working in a fast-pace environment.
