Mayhill Hospital is a private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. We provide mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. Our Inpatient Services consist of Mental Health Program to help those who need acute psychiatric care and stabilization in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Patients follow a structured schedule of therapeutic groups, activities and educational sessions. We have a Crisis Stabilization Program to care for individuals in serious mental health crisis that provides intensive supervision and support to patients in a safe and secure environment. Mayhill also offers a Chemical Dependency Program that provides care that safely manages the physical symptoms of withdrawal from prescription drugs, alcohol and/or other substances. Our Day Hospital (Outpatient) Services for Adults and Seniors is a continuum of care is offered for patients with mental health and chemical dependency problems through intensive outpatient services.

The ECT Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who provides, coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process, standards of care and practices along with hospital philosophy and delivers qulaity patient care to adult/geriatric patients who may need psychiatric, chemical dependency and/or related treatment or electroconvulsive therapy.

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program preferred Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Licensure: RN Licensure and registration by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners Current CPR and ACLS certification

Experience: At least two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience preferred. ECT or recovery room experience preferred.

Additional Requirements: Must pass the medication administration exam before administering medications.

Successful completion of training in Handle with Care and CPR within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Able to perform iv puncture, start and monitor IV's, read EKG's and arrhythmias.

Current ECT Training (hospital will provide)
